What is Datapaw?

Datapaw is a plugin that has a vision of making data manipulation more enjoyable and fun inside Figma. Initially, this plugin can help you generate realistic data for your designs. It streamlines the process of populating your designs with meaningful, diverse, and context-appropriate content, saving you time and enhancing the realism of your mockups.

Working with data has endless possibilities, from building data visualizations to using APIs to generate data. The limit is only your imagination.

Installation

Getting started with Datapaw is quick and easy. Follow these steps to install the plugin in Figma:

  1. Open your Figma project.
  2. Click on the "Resources" tab in the top-left corner of the Figma window.
  3. In the search bar, type "Datapaw" and press Enter.
  4. Look for the Datapaw plugin in the search results.
  5. Click on the "Install" button next to the Datapaw plugin.
  6. Wait for the installation to complete. This should only take a few seconds.

Once installed, you can access Datapaw from the Plugins menu in Figma:

  1. Select the layers or frames where you want to add data.
  2. Go to Plugins > Datapaw in the top menu.
  3. The Datapaw interface will open, ready for you to start generating data.
